On 18th October 2012, at 2.13pm, I lost the first man I ever loved, my dad. He was the most loving, funny, generous, kind, caring, friendly, charismatic man (I could go on forever!) & all round best dad anyone could have. After weeks of ill health and a horribly harrowing few days in hospital he passed away surrounded by his family who loved him dearly & will miss him always but remember him forever. So many happy times, although as always more would have been great. See you in my dreams dad, love you - your little girl xxxxx My dad was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in October last year. There is so little known about this particular disease, what causes it or how quickly & aggresively it builds. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) used to be known as fibrosing alveolitis. It is caused by repeated injury to small areas of your lung. This results in inflammation of your lungs and then scarring. However, lung disease can affect anyone so I have set up this page to enable people to donate in the hope that one day we will be able to find a cure :)
